Departments prepare base budget requests and decision packages for change requests with the Strategic Plan in mind, then submit them to the Finance Director in June or early July, the town said. Departments rank decision packages for the entire General Fund and identify changes to submit to the Town Administrator for consideration. The Town Administrator works with the Finance Director to identify which changes to include in the recommended budget. The Finance Director prepares the proposed budget for review with the Town Board during budget study sessions.
