Things to do Wednesday in Northern Colorado: a shadowbox workshop, composer talk and reggae-rock show

A free shadowbox-making workshop is on Wednesday in Erie, and Fort Collins’ composer talk will focus on Corigliano, Sibelius and Dvořák. In Greeley, Bumpin Uglies and Artikal Sound System bring reggae-rock to the stage Wednesday.

10 a.m.-1 p.m. Fall 2026 Blood Drive — The Aims Nursing department is partnering with Vitalant for a blood drive; donors should bring photo ID, a blood donor card or two other forms of ID. Welcome Center, Greeley.
11 a.m.-1 p.m. Ukrainian Lunch — Donations from the meal will go toward supplies, including food, clothing and medicine, for Ukrainian families and soldiers. Rocky Mountain Evangelical Free Church, Estes Park.
noon-2 p.m. Shadowbox Creation — Makerspace staff will demonstrate how to prepare a design, use the Cricut cutter and assemble the layers into a paper shadowbox. Materials are provided. Erie Community Library; Free; For families.
12:15-1:15 p.m. Composer Talk - Music: The Purest Art - Corigliano, Sibelius, Dvořák — CSU professor Dr. K. Dawn Grapes will discuss the composers featured in the symphony’s upcoming Signature Concert 1: Corigliano, Sibelius and Dvořák. Old Town Library, Fort Collins; Free.
