Quint charged with theft after Summit View HOA investigation
The D.A. says investigators identified about $147,635 in funds used for unauthorized expenses attributable to him; they believe the theft occurred between 2017 and 2025. A court date has not been set.
The Weld County D.A. said Lyle Quint has been formally charged with one count of theft following an investigation into the finances of the Summit View Homeowners Association in Severance.
Investigators reviewed HOA financial records and identified approximately $147,635 in funds used for unauthorized expenses attributable to Quint, the D.A. said. Investigators believe the theft occurred between 2017 and 2025.
Quint turned himself in to the Weld County Jail on Friday, the D.A. said. A court date had not yet been set for him.
Quint had served as the HOA’s president since 2004 and was its sole board member beginning in 2020, the D.A. said. A new HOA board was elected in April 2025. In November 2025, the association contacted the Severance Police Department with concerns about its financial records and funds. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation subsequently took the lead in the investigation, according to the D.A.
