Driver seriously injures 81-year-old man at Highway 34 intersection, police say

Greeley police said a preliminary investigation found that a northbound GMC driver entered the intersection of 95th Avenue and Highway 34 without yielding. The preliminary account says the driver broadsided an 81-year-old man driving west on the highway, seriously injuring him.

Greeley Police officers responded at approximately 5:25 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, to the serious two-vehicle collision at 95th Avenue and Highway 34. The Ford Escape driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The Greeley Police Department Traffic Unit is actively investigating the crash. Potential charges are pending the outcome of the final investigation, police said.
