Free things to do with kids this week: a library opening, a fall festival and fire station storytime
The week also brings hands-on fall snacks and a narwhal activity in Fort Collins, a preschool craft in Estes Park, bookmobile history in Fort Lupton and Friday face painting in Kersey. Every event is free.
A new library opens Saturday in Mead, and Stove Prairie Elementary hosts its fall festival in Bellvue that day. On Thursday, an Estes Park fire station storytime pairs stories with a look at fire engines.

3:30-4:30 p.m. Tales to Tails — Children and families can read to Jack, a therapy dog, through a partnership with Caring Canines. Eaton Public Library; Free; For preschoolers, kids and families.
