Council members share community updates

Mayor Pro Tem Dale Hall said all seven council members were present. Johnny Olson said he had seen stickers depicting him around town, thanked whoever chose a picture that was not his “fat picture,” and predicted the attention would strengthen support from some people, bring others to his side, and leave the other 20% against him. Craig Huddleston described the rainy 16th Street celebration, which featured murals and the UNC Bears, and credited the groups that put it on. Ryan Roth highlighted a service remembering a firefighter lost several weeks earlier, the 16th Street ribbon cutting and Life Stories’ superhero run, which drew 500 participants.
