Latinx Heritage Month proclaimed

Mayor Emily Francis proclaimed September 15-October 15, 2026, as Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month in Fort Collins. The proclamation celebrates the community’s linguistic and cultural diversity, recognizes that it makes up nearly 12.8% of the local population, and highlights local organizations’ work connecting people to resources and building bridges across the community. It also commits city leaders and institutions to addressing cultural and systemic barriers, supporting language access and cultural celebrations, and advancing belonging, equity and inclusion.
