$53,200.88 in gifts would fund city services

The ordinance would appropriate $53,200.88 in previously unappropriated philanthropic revenue received through City Give and authorize spending it on donor-designated city programs and services, including arts and culture, public safety, parks and recreation, forestry, transportation and utility-payment assistance. The appropriations include $13,000 for the Lincoln Center Showstopper Series Sponsorship, $10,000 for Open Streets, $7,500 for the Police Leaders Summit, $5,000 for Safe Routes to School and $4,400.88 for the Payment Assistance Fund. The ordinance would make the $4,400.88 Light & Power Fund Payment Assistance Fund appropriation and the $2,000 Golf Fund Youth Golf Scholarship Fund appropriation non-lapsing, and would take effect Oct. 16, 2026.
