$3 million septage facility funded

The ordinance appropriates $500,000 from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs Energy and Mineral Impact Assistance Fund and $2,500,000 from prior-year Wastewater Fund reserves for the Septage Receiving Facility Project, which would relocate the septage receiving station at the Drake Reclamation Facility. The $3,000,000 project is intended to protect public health and the environment and continue septage receiving services in the greater Northern Colorado region. The grant appropriation depends on execution of the intergovernmental agreement and would sunset on December 31, 2026, if the agreement is not executed; the ordinance takes effect September 25, 2026.
