2026 funds would cover new costs

Three first-reading ordinances would appropriate unanticipated revenue and prior-year reserves for expenses outside the 2026 budget, and authorize transfers among funds and projects. The requests include $2,622,107 in General Fund appropriations, including $1,044,079 for police-related costs; $1,085,837 for a Poudre Fire Authority cap adjustment; $1,329,157 for insurance premiums and claims; $2,446,499 in electric development-fee revenue for infrastructure; $2,000,000 for medical claims; and $752,148 for water-main-break repairs. Other appropriations would support FC Moves personnel, a Clean Fleet Grant match, golf operations, parking services, tree planting and transit projects. The ordinances would also transfer $111,860 for the Vine Bridge Replacement Project, $39,122 for the Drake and College project, $25,000 for ERP expenses and $50,000 within the Conservation Trust Fund for the Poudre River Trail Culvert Replacement Project. The ordinances would take effect Oct. 16, 2026.
