Erie plans fiber line work between water plant and tank site
The town expects work to run through Nov. 25, weather permitting, and says no road closures or water-service interruptions are planned. Nearby residents may see crews in sidewalks, tree lawns and parkways, where sod or irrigation lines could be disturbed.
The Town of Erie says Colorado Boring Company will begin installing a fiber line Wednesday, Sept. 23, connecting the Town's water treatment facility to its water tank site west of Weld County Road 7.
The Town expects the work to be complete by Nov. 25, weather pending. It says the new line will improve communication between the facilities and help it operate and maintain its water tanks.
The Town does not plan road closures, and says no customers will lose water service during the work. Residents in the Compass, Rex Ranch, Vista Pointe, Vista Pointe Estates and Vista Ridge neighborhoods may see crews working on sidewalks, in tree lawns and in parkways. The Town says crews may disturb sod and irrigation lines in the work area, and it will repair any damage caused by the project.
The Town advises pedestrians to use caution and follow posted signs near work zones.
