Weld County hazardous waste program plans Sept. 19 open house in Dacono
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 5500 Highway 52 and mark three decades of services for safely disposing of household chemicals and other hazardous materials.
The Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment invites residents to an open house Saturday, Sept. 19, at the South Household Hazardous Waste Facility in Dacono to mark 30 years of the county’s Household Hazardous Waste Program.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 5500 Highway 52. Residents can learn about services available through the program, which helps residents safely dispose of household chemicals and other hazardous materials, according to the county.
“The Household Hazardous Waste Program has provided this service to the people in south county and Dacono for 30 years now and has made such a lasting impact in Weld County,” WCDPHE Director Jason Chessher said. The county release did not specify whether hazardous-waste disposal will be available during the event.
