College Avenue lane closures scheduled near Trilby Road Sept. 17-Oct. 2
Crews will pave asphalt and test new traffic signals while the west side of the intersection is closed to traffic. The city warns drivers to expect delays and says opening is a goal after testing.
The City of Fort Collins will reduce South College Avenue (U.S. Highway 287) to one lane in each direction during two scheduled periods as crews complete final construction work at the Trilby Road intersection from Thursday, Sept. 17, to Friday, Oct. 2. Drivers should expect delays, the city said.
The lane reductions are scheduled from 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, through 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, and from 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, through 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27. Crews will complete asphalt paving and test traffic signals.
Trilby Road will be closed to traffic on the west side of the intersection from Monday, Sept. 21, through Sunday, Sept. 27. The city said it has a goal of opening the intersection to vehicle traffic by Oct. 2, after testing the new signal equipment during the week of Sept. 28.
After the intersection reopens, crews will install sidewalks and complete final cleanup work during October. The city’s construction and traffic impacts information warns that closures can change based on real-time needs and does not include unplanned, emergency or minor impacts.
