Weld commissioners schedule 2026 county address for Oct. 8
The public event runs from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Aims Community College Welcome Center, with no RSVP required. Residents can submit questions by Sept. 30; commissioners will discuss the Justice Center and other county projects.
The Weld County Board of Commissioners will hold its 2026 State of the County address from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at the Aims Community College Welcome Center, the county said. The event is open to the public, and RSVPs are not required.
Commissioners will provide an update on the progress of the new Weld County Justice Center. The board also will discuss other current county projects and future goals.
Residents may submit questions about county government and county projects. Commissioners will respond to several of the submitted questions during the address. “We wanted this year’s event to be more engaging by including an opportunity for residents to submit questions about county projects and county government in general,” Commissioner Chair Scott James said.
Residents should submit the county form by the end of the day Sept. 30. A recap will be available on the county’s webpage and in the Oct. 13 issue of County Roots.
