Loveland schedules temporary closures on First Street and S. Railroad Avenue
Loveland will close sections of First Street and S. Railroad Avenue for paving Sept. 8-21, with daytime delays and detours through U.S. 287, Eisenhower Boulevard/U.S. 34 and 14th Street Southwest.
The City of Loveland said sections of First Street and S. Railroad Avenue will be temporarily closed for paving between Sept. 8 and Sept. 21. The work is part of the city’s Street Maintenance and Repair Program.
First Street will be closed to traffic from the pickleball courts opposite the Rivers Edge Natural Area east to Franklin Avenue from Sept. 8-14. Westbound traffic will detour via U.S. Highway 287 to Eisenhower Boulevard/U.S. Highway 34 or 14th Street Southwest, ending at Taft Avenue. Eastbound traffic will use Taft Avenue to Eisenhower Boulevard/U.S. Highway 34 or 14th Street Southwest, ending at U.S. Highway 287.
From Sept. 15-21, a section of S. Railroad Avenue, which becomes S. Roosevelt Avenue, will be closed from Southeast Third Street to north of Fairgrounds Park. Southbound traffic will detour via U.S. Highway 287 to 14th Street Southwest, while northbound traffic will use 14th Street Southwest to U.S. Highway 287 and then return to First Street.
