Linden Street to close for First Friday event Sept. 4
Fort Collins will close the 200 block of Linden Street to vehicles from 5 to 9 p.m. Sept. 4 for a free First Friday event featuring live music, vendors, outdoor games and a skateboard expo with lessons.
The 200 block of Linden Street in downtown Fort Collins will close to vehicles from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, for a free First Friday event, the City of Fort Collins said. The block will be open to pedestrians during the event.
The evening will include live music, outdoor games, shopping and sidewalk vending from businesses on the block. Performers are scheduled to include Shtonk Brass Band, Fancy Bits, Soul Puppets and DJ Jimeni.
A skateboard expo near Walnut Street and Old Town Square will offer portable ramps, gear and instruction. A Learn to Skate session is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m., followed by an open skate session from 7 to 9 p.m.
The event is part of the city’s 2026 summer concert series and is presented with FoCo POP, or Parks and Outdoor Performances, according to the city.
