Larimer and Weld food inspections for August 10–16, 2026

Larimer and Weld county health inspectors score each retail food inspection by total violation points: 0–49 passes, 50–109 requires a re-inspection, and 110 or more results in a closure. Critical (priority) violations are those most likely to cause foodborne illness. The following is drawn from the county health departments' public inspection records.

During August 10–16, two establishments in Larimer County and three in Weld County required re-inspection, while three Weld County establishments passed but still had critical violations.

Failed inspections

Cafe De Bangkok, Fort Collins (Larimer County) — inspected August 13, scored 82 (re-inspection required). Inspectors noted multiple cold holding units out of temperature; rice and shrimp cooling with lids tightly sealed; frozen beef thawed in a bowl of water; raw chicken cooked to 145°F; cooked rice and cooked shrimp cooling while sealed; an employee used bare hands to handle limes and cucumbers; chicken fried rice reheated after chicken was cooked to 145°F; curry kept past the 7-day date marking; and dishwasher sanitizer below 50 ppm chlorine.

ZIGGIS COFFEE- W. Eisenhower, Loveland (Larimer County) — inspected August 12, scored 55 (re-inspection required). Inspectors noted milks and dairy premix held between 48°F and 58°F on the counter, and sanitizer in the three-compartment sink below 150 ppm; that sanitizer issue was corrected on site.

RANCHEROS RESTAURANT-COMMISSARY, Mead (Weld County) — inspected August 12, scored 55 (re-inspection required). Inspectors noted raw beef stored above pasteurized eggs in a cooler; a dish machine with 0 ppm chlorine during use; cooked salsa, consomé, and birria sauce held too warm while cooling; shredded lettuce and cheese in a prep cooler at 46–47°F; ready-to-eat menudo, cooked beef, potatoes, and sopa kept past discard date; and a large number of flies landing on food and food-contact surfaces. Tomatillo salsa, consomé, a pan of individual bags of menudo, a pan of cooked beef, and a pan of individual bags of cooked potatoes were discarded due to cooling or date marking.

BURNOUT GRILL AT THE NORTH 40, Milliken (Weld County) — inspected August 12, scored 60 (re-inspection required). Inspectors noted food from an unapproved source, including jam; condensation or possible spoilage on bread packaging in the freezer, which was discarded; raw burger patties handled with the same gloves used on equipment and seasonings; raw burger patties and sliced cheese on the same prep board; a prep board used for TCS foods washed only once daily; and sliced ham held past the discard date, with milk and sliced chicken not date marked.

DOUG'S DINER, Greeley (Weld County) — inspected August 14, scored 62 (re-inspection required). No critical violations were identified; the inspection report noted violations corrected since the last inspection.

COUNTRY INN DINER, Greeley (Weld County) — inspected August 14, scored 44 (pass). Inspectors noted an employee used customer cups to scoop ice without washing hands; an employee handled raw burger with gloved hands and then touched utensils and surfaces; cooked beans, soup, and gravy were not cooled fast enough; sanitizer buckets on the cook line were below proper concentration; and employees used cups and single-use containers as food scoops.

SMOKIN' BROS BARBECUE, Eaton (Weld County) — inspected August 13, scored 45 (pass). Inspectors noted dishwasher sanitizer completely empty, with no sanitizer in the rinse water; coleslaw held at 47°F for 20 minutes; sliced tomatoes held at 46°F in an ice bath; cooked brisket and turkey missing date marks; and a package of banana pudding and cakes missing required labels.

BRAKE TIME, Milliken (Weld County) — inspected August 11, scored 49 (pass). Inspectors noted sandwiches held at 47°F to 52°F in an open-faced cooler; sliced cheese held at 48°F in the prep cooler; deli meat, brisket, and sandwiches kept past the discard/date-marking limit; and no sanitizer in the wiping cloth bucket.
