Estes Park opens applications for 2027 Community Initiative Funding

The Town of Estes Park is now accepting applications from organizations serving the Estes Valley for 2027 Community Initiative Funding, according to a town news release.

Applications and supporting documents are due Aug. 31, 2026. The town said forms are available online under the Community Initiative Funding section and completed applications should be emailed to Management Analyst Suzanna Simpson.

According to the town's funding policy, Community Initiative money is intended for specific projects or programs that advance one or more Strategic Plan outcome areas. Eligible applicants include entities or groups serving the Estes Valley, with some exceptions including base-funding recipients, other taxing districts and organizations whose purpose is fundraising for the town or other taxing districts.

Town officials said funding requests will be prioritized during a budget study session in October and final approval will come with the Town Board's budget decision in November. Organizations that receive funding for 2027 must submit a final project report by May 31, 2028.
