Rin Sushi planned for former Starbucks on South College Avenue

City permit records show a commercial alteration planned at 3617 S College Ave., Unit A, in Creger Plaza that would convert a former Starbucks into a dine-in sushi restaurant.

The application describes a new 14-foot Type 1 hood, walk-in cooler and freezer, sushi bar, liquor bar and grease interceptor, along with new mechanical, plumbing, electrical and finish work. The permit also says the existing restrooms, electrical panels and rooftop unit would remain.

The project is tied to Rin Sushi, according to the investigation context. The permit lists the work as applied for and notes no change of use or occupancy.
