Windsor plans free World Cup finals watch party at Boardwalk Park

Windsor Parks, Recreation & Culture will host a free World Cup Finals Watch Party on Sunday, July 19, starting at noon at the Farmers Market Pavilion at Boardwalk Park, 100 N. 5th St.

The event is being presented with the Colorado Soccer Association, Windsor Athletic Football Club and NOCO Sports, according to a town news release posted July 10.

Town officials said no registration is required. Residents are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs, and parking is available downtown. The town said weather-related cancellations and updates will be sent to people who text WINDSOREVENT to 888777.

Bobby Warner, recreation manager for Windsor Parks, Recreation & Culture, said in the release that the event will give residents, families and visitors a place to gather and watch the World Cup finals.
