Greeley Seeks Volunteers for Boards and Commissions

Greeley is looking for residents to fill openings on its boards and commissions, city officials said.

According to the city’s boards and commissions page, the volunteer groups study community issues and provide direction, comment and recommendations to the City Council. Residents can use the city’s online portal to find openings, schedules and applications.

The portal lists 23 boards and commissions, including the Housing for All Advisory Board and the West Greeley Project Citizen Oversight Committee. The city’s 2024 handbook says most members serve three-year terms, though some groups have different term lengths.

The handbook says vacancies are publicized monthly and applicants are encouraged to attend a meeting before applying. It also says the city seeks members from a range of geographic, social, economic, cultural and demographic backgrounds, and that City Council appoints members by written ballot during a council meeting.
