Loveland to host Funds in Focus session on rates and fees July 22

The City of Loveland will host a Funds in Focus session on rates and fees July 22, giving residents a chance to learn how charges on utility bills are calculated and used.

The event is scheduled for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Rialto Theater’s Deveraux Room at 228 E. 4th St. It will also be available online for people who register in advance.

City officials said Acting Chief Financial Officer and Deputy City Manager Molly Elder, Public Works Director Will Jones, Utilities Director Sharon Israel and Utilities Deputy Director Shaundra Stoever will speak at the session. Topics include how rates and fees are calculated each month, how they support capital improvement projects, maintenance and public health, why they are adjusted and how the city uses the funds.

Residents who want to attend online must register at the city’s event page and will receive a confirmation email with instructions for joining. The city said similar informational sessions are planned for later in the year as part of the budget process leading up to October, when Loveland is expected to approve its 2027 budget.
