Larimer County commissioners’ July 2 meeting: Equifax benefits-verification contract ratified

At a special meeting Thursday, July 2, the Larimer County Board of County Commissioners ratified an emergency approval needed to keep the county in a statewide contract for public-benefits income and employment checks.

Commissioners voted 2-0 to approve the Equifax The Work Number contract ratification, reapproving signatures made June 30 ahead of a fiscal-year deadline. The action allows Larimer County to continue using the service to verify income and employment for public-benefits applicants from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, under a fixed-price arrangement with the county's share set at $458,075.
