Fort Collins disability board seeks nominations for community recognition awards
The Fort Collins Disability Advisory Board is accepting nominations for its 2026 Community Recognition Awards, the city said.
Nominations are open through Friday, Aug. 28. The city said any person, business or agency may be considered, and there is no Fort Collins residency requirement as long as the work recognized was done within the city.
The awards are divided into three categories: an Educator/Community Trainer Award, an Organization/Team Award and the Dorothy Lasley Memorial Award for an individual with a disability who is active in the community. According to the city, recipients are selected by Disability Advisory Board members.
The city’s Community Recognition Awards page says recipients will be recognized at a formal ceremony on Monday, Oct. 19, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at The Lincoln Center. The nomination form is available online, and submissions may also be made by email or by mail to the Disability Advisory Board in care of the city’s office at 300 Laporte Ave.
