Windsor sets June 29 open house on strategic plan update

Windsor residents and business owners are invited to give feedback on the town’s updated Strategic Plan at a public open house Monday, June 29, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Windsor Community Development Center, 200 N. 11th St.

According to the town, attendees will be able to ask questions, make comments and speak with Windsor staff and project consultants. The event is free, and refreshments and light snacks will be provided.

The Strategic Plan is a five-year plan that the town says is reviewed and updated every two years. It is used to help guide budget development and resource allocation, and the current update covers 2026-2031, according to the town’s Project Connect page.

The town says the update is intended to give the mayor, Town Board and staff a vision for prioritizing key projects and initiatives. It will build from the 2024 Comprehensive Plan and the 2020 Transportation Master Plan, and it will identify high-priority action items that can be implemented through 2031.

Residents who cannot attend can sign up for project updates and take a survey on the town’s Project Connect website. The site also offers information on other town projects, including traffic and parking studies, downtown revitalization and recreation accessibility.
