Fort Collins announces Independence Day closures and holiday service changes

Fort Collins city offices will be closed Friday, July 3, for Independence Day, according to a city news release published July 3, 2026.

The city said all recreation facilities, The Gardens on Spring Creek and the Museum of Discovery will remain open Friday, and Transfort bus service will run on its regular schedule.

On Saturday, July 4, City Park Pool will be open from noon to 4 p.m. All other recreation facilities, The Gardens on Spring Creek and the Museum of Discovery will be closed. Transfort will operate holiday service, but its offices will be closed.

Essential services including fire, police and utilities will continue as usual, the city said. All city offices and facilities are scheduled to resume regular hours Monday, July 6.
