Loveland announces Juneteenth closures and service changes

The City of Loveland will close several municipal facilities and services on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth, according to a city news release posted June 12.

Closed that day will be all city administrative offices, the Downtown Visitor Center, the Loveland Museum, the Loveland Public Library and the Recycling Center. The city said utility payments can still be dropped off or made online.

Some services will remain open or operating, including the Chilson Recreation Center and Senior Center, City of Loveland Transit buses, the East Gateway Visitor’s Center, Golf Loveland courses, the Rialto Theater for scheduled events and Winona Outdoor Pool. The Rialto box office will be closed.

Police and fire services will remain available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The city said residents should call 911 for emergencies or dispatch at 970-667-2151 for events that are not an imminent threat to life or safety.
