Greeley City Council enters executive session on Civic Campus negotiations
The Greeley City Council voted 6-0 Tuesday to enter executive session for discussions tied to the Civic Campus project. The closed-door session was called to discuss the purchase and transfer of real estate, negotiation instructions and legal advice related to the project and associated intergovernmental and development negotiations.
Mayor Dale Hall announced the motion under Item 9, and the motion was made by Ward 1 Council Member Craig Huddleston and seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Melissa McDonald. After a roll-call vote, Hall announced that the motion had passed 6-0.
In stating the purpose of the session, Hall said the council would discuss real estate matters, receive instructions regarding negotiations and, if necessary, receive advice from the city attorney. The motion cited state statutes and corresponding sections of Greeley Municipal Code authorizing executive sessions for real estate discussions, negotiation strategy and legal advice.
Hall said the executive session would be held upstairs in the executive room. He also said that after the executive session, the meeting would adjourn.
