Windsor to host Bike Everywhere Day on June 24

The Town of Windsor will host its annual Bike Everywhere Day on Wednesday, June 24, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Eastman Park, according to a town news release.

The free, family-friendly event will include a Bike Rodeo course hosted by the Windsor Police Department and the Windsor Optimist Club. Activities listed in the release include slow races, a track stand competition, a bike decoration station and a BMX area at the skatepark hosted by Clearview Library District.

Clearview Library District also will host a storytime ride around the pond. Attendees will receive a free helmet and T-shirt while supplies last, and the first 100 bikers will receive complimentary ice cream, according to the town.

The event is hosted by Windsor Parks, Recreation & Culture, the Windsor Police Department and Clearview Library District. The town said more information is available about Bike Everywhere Day through its website.
