The City of Greeley is accepting applications starting Feb. 1 for its Low-Income & Food Tax (LIFT) rebate and Utility Program, offering up to $100 per household member and a $150 water bill credit.

With grocery and utility bills climbing, the programs could significantly ease cost-of-living pressures for Greeley's lowest-income households. The expanded program now includes water utility assistance for those with Greeley Water accounts.

LIFT applicants receive up to $100 per household member for food and grocery taxes paid in 2025. Checks arrive by mail approximately 30 days after submission.

The Utility Program offers a one-time $150 credit toward water bills. The applicant's name must be on the water account to receive the credit.

LIFT applications close May 31, while the Utility Program accepts applications through Dec. 31.

Applicants must be current Greeley residents who lived in the city at least 10 months in 2025. Proof of residency is required. Qualifying family members must be legal dependents claimed on federal tax returns (Form 1040). Applicants must provide a Social Security number for each family member.

Submit applications online at GreeleyCO.gov/LIFT-UP or in person. Applications are available in English, Spanish, Somali, Burmese, French, and Haitian Creole. Feb. 1–24: drop off or mail to City of Greeley, Utility Billing, 1000 10th Street, Greeley, CO 80631. Feb. 25–27: drive-through at City Hall. March 2 onward: 1200 11th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80631.
