Greeley to Keep Recreation, Transit Open on Presidents Day While Closing City Hall
On Monday, February 16, 2026, Greeley will close core administrative offices for Presidents Day but keep recreation centers, transit services, and weather-permitting golf courses open for residents across the city. Emergency services including fire and police will continue operating as usual.
This split schedule means routine paperwork pauses while youth, seniors, and transit-dependent residents keep access to daily activities and transportation.
City Hall and Utility Billing (1000 10th Street), City Center North (1100 10th Street), and Municipal Court (1001 11th Avenue) close Monday. Five recreation centers stay open: Greeley Active Adult Center (1010 6th Street), Rodarte Community Center (920 A Street), Family FunPlex (1501 65th Avenue), Greeley Recreation Center (651 10th Avenue), and Greeley Ice Haus (900 8th Avenue).
Greeley-Evans Transit and the Poudre Express will operate on regular schedules. Highland Hills Golf Course (2200 Clubhouse Drive) and Boomerang Links Golf Course (7309 W. 4th Street) will be open weather-permitting.
Transit service on the federal holiday ensures mobility for riders in Greeley, Garden City, and Evans who rely on buses for work, school, or essential trips. The Poudre Express—a weekday regional route serving the Greeley Regional Transportation Center, UNC, Windsor, and CSU Transit Center—operates seven trips each direction at $1.50. Service continues Monday, preserving access to jobs and classes across the region.
Recreation centers staying open ensure seniors and families can access fitness, social, and youth programming that typically pause for federal holidays.
