Greeley Evans Transit Expands Service With Route Consolidation, New Poudre Express Departure
Greeley Evans Transit has officially interlined Routes 5 and 6 into a single combined service, increasing bus frequency to every 20 minutes at the Greeley Transit Center while locking in a new 2:05 p.m. Poudre Express departure as a permanent fixture. The changes are among the first rider-facing improvements from the city's Mobility Development Plan, which was approved by Greeley City Council in March 2025.
"These changes are designed to improve service for people who rely on public transportation," said Michelle Johnson, mobility manager for City of Greeley Transit Services. "We're making transit more efficient while maintaining coverage for the areas we serve."
The interlined route now uses four buses instead of three to serve both Route 5 and Route 6 stops. Buses now arrive at the Greeley Transit Center every 20 minutes, improving connections to other GET lines and on-time performance across the network.
The Poudre Express—a commuter line serving Greeley, Windsor, and Fort Collins—made the 2:05 p.m. Greeley departure permanent after adding it in recent weeks.
The Mobility Development Plan gathered resident input to create near-term (0–2 years) and long-term (3–10 years) service scenarios aimed at improving frequency and connectivity across Greeley and Evans.
The Poudre Express launched in January 2020 and expanded in August 2021 based on rider feedback, community surveys, and ridership numbers.
More changes are planned for 2026 as part of the Mobility Development Plan to enhance mobility services across Greeley.
