Greeley is searching for a new city manager following Raymond C. Lee III's resignation, with a screening committee set to recommend candidates to City Council by May or early summer 2026.

Former City Manager Raymond C. Lee III resigned in November 2025 under a separation agreement with the council. Chief Administrative Officer Brian McBroom was unanimously appointed as Acting City Manager and assumed the role in December 2025.

The city posted the position January 14. The screening committee includes Mayor Dale Hall, Acting City Manager Brian McBroom, Mayor Pro Tem Melissa McDonald, District 6 Superintendent Dr. Deirdre Pilch, and Greeley Area Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Jaime Henning, among other department heads.

According to the city posting, "The successful candidate will lead a diverse municipal organization with a strong commitment to transparency, inclusion, community engagement, and service excellence, while translating Council priorities into measurable results."

Mayor Dale Hall said: "Greeley is growing, and we need a City Manager who is ready to lead us into the future. This committee helps us take a close look at candidates so we can find someone who understands both the challenges and opportunities ahead for our community."

Lee served as city manager since 2022. His departure marked the latest leadership transition in a city grappling with rapid growth and infrastructure demands.

The city manager oversees municipal departments and executes council goals, making this hire consequential during Greeley's growth phase.

The city will post public involvement details on its recruitment webpage as the process advances. More information is available at https://greeleyco.gov/government/careers/city-manager-recruitment.
