Snow Expected in Loveland Today, Warming Trend Arrives Friday

Light snow will fall across Loveland today with a 63 percent chance of precipitation. High temperatures will reach 36 degrees before dropping to 34 this afternoon. Northeast winds will blow at 6 mph. Approximately one inch of new snow accumulation is possible. Tonight's low will dip to 21 degrees with a 40 percent chance of snow before 5 a.m.

Friday will bring relief from winter weather as conditions clear and warm considerably. Mostly sunny skies will prevail with highs near 37 degrees and north northwest winds at 8 to 13 mph. Saturday will be even warmer, reaching 44 degrees under mostly sunny conditions. Sunday will peak at 49 degrees with full sunshine. Monday will continue the warming trend with highs near 54 degrees.

The extended forecast shows a brief cool-down Tuesday with highs remaining near 54 degrees and a slight 15 percent chance of rain and snow after 5 p.m. Conditions will improve Wednesday with partly sunny skies and highs around 54 degrees. Overall, expect a significant warming pattern after today's snow event clears.
