Estes Park will experience persistent snow Thursday as a winter system moves through the area. Light snow will fall throughout the day with an 83% chance of precipitation and 1 to 3 inches of accumulation possible. High temperatures will struggle to reach 29 degrees, then fall to around 25 in the afternoon with northeast winds at 5 mph. Conditions remain cold overnight with lows around 12 degrees and a 50% chance of additional light snow.

The weather improves significantly Friday as the snow chances decrease. Morning snow is possible before 5 p.m., but mostly sunny skies will develop with highs near 27 degrees. West-northwest winds will gust to 25 mph. A notable warming trend begins this weekend, with Saturday reaching 35 degrees under mostly sunny skies and Sunday climbing to 46 degrees with full sunshine.

The warming continues into early next week with highs near 47 degrees Monday and 45 degrees Tuesday. However, another chance of light snow develops Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning with 26% precipitation chances. Conditions remain relatively dry thereafter, though temperatures will gradually cool again mid-week.
