Greeley Administrative Offices to Close for Thanksgiving Holiday

Greeley administrative buildings will close November 27 and November 28 in observance of Thanksgiving, with emergency services continuing normal operations, city officials announced November 12.

Police and fire departments will maintain regular staffing and response capabilities throughout the holiday period. Administrative offices will reopen with standard schedules December 1.

All City of Greeley administrative offices and Greeley Recreation facilities will close on Thanksgiving Day. Greeley-Evans Transit service, Poudre Express and paratransit rides will not be available November 27.

Recreation Facilities to Resume Modified Operations

Several city recreation facilities will reopen November 28 with altered hours. The Greeley Family FunPlex at 1501 65th Avenue will operate from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., with pool hours from noon to 6 p.m. Greeley Recreation Center at 651 10th Avenue will open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., with pool hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Greeley Ice Haus at 900 8th Avenue will host "Skate Your Turkey Off" from noon to 5 p.m. November 28, with $10 admission including skate rental. The facility will operate from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. that day.

Greeley Active Adult Center at 1010 6th Street will open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. November 28.

Administrative offices, Rodarte Community Center at 920 A Street, and Greeley History Museum at 714 8th Street will remain closed November 28.

Transit and Golf Operations Return November 29

Greeley-Evans Transit and Poudre Express bus routes will resume regular weekday schedules November 29, along with Greeley History Museum operations from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Union Colony Civic Center at 701 10th Avenue will resume normal operations November 29. Boomerang Links Golf Course at 7309 West 4th Street and Highland Hills Golf Course at 2200 Clubhouse Drive will reopen weather permitting.

The closure follows standard holiday policies maintained by City of Greeley administrative offices, according to municipal operating procedures. Administrative offices close for major federal holidays including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

City administrative buildings closed November 11 for Veterans Day, with recreation facilities maintaining regular operations that day.

Greeley-Evans Transit typically provides no service on major holidays, following patterns observed by Transfort in Fort Collins and City of Loveland Transit systems throughout Northern Colorado, according to the City of Greeley. Transit agencies generally see significant ridership drops on and around federal holidays.
