Colorado Governor Jared Polis reminded residents November 4 to vote in this year's election before polls close at 7 p.m., emphasizing the state's secure voting systems and multiple options for casting ballots.

Voters who have not yet returned their ballots must use drop boxes or in-person polling places, as the deadline has passed for mailing ballots. All voters in line by 7 p.m. will be allowed to cast their ballots.

"Colorado's secure and safe elections are a national gold standard, so Coloradans, whether voting by mail or in-person, can rest assured that our votes and voices are heard," Polis said in a statement from the governor's office.

Coloradans can find the nearest polling place or drop box by visiting GoVoteColorado.gov.

Fort Collins locations include the Larimer County Elections office at 200 West Oak Street, Suite 5100. Loveland voters can access services at Loveland Vehicle Licensing at 200 Peridot Avenue.

The county mailed ballots to all registered voters October 11, according to information provided to the Fort Collins City Council. Larimer County Clerk and Recorder Tina Herrera encouraged residents to vote early rather than waiting until Election Day, noting that approximately one-third of ballots are received after 7 p.m. on Election Day, creating processing delays.

Weld County Services

Weld County maintains Voter Service and Polling Centers in Greeley, Evans, Windsor and other municipalities throughout the county. The main office is located at the Weld County Clerk and Recorder at 1250 H Street in Greeley.

Drop boxes at locations including the Weld County Administration Building, Windsor Community Recreation Center and Evans Community Complex remain open through 7 p.m.

Ballot Tracking and Assistance

Colorado voters can track their ballot status through BallotTrax or by contacting their county clerk, according to the Colorado Secretary of State. The signature on each ballot envelope is verified against signatures on file for the registered voter.

All Voter Service and Polling Centers offer accessible voting equipment for voters with disabilities and comply with ADA standards. Voters can register or update registration in person at any center through Election Day.
